Meeting Abstract: 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting I Central Nervous System Tumors | May 27, 2026
PHASE I/II STUDY OF LIPOSOMAL CURCUMIN IN COMBINATION WITH STANDARD RADIATION AND TEMOZOLOMIDE IN PATIENTS WITH NEWLY DIAGNOSED HIGH-GRADE GLIOMAS:
NOTE:
The following information is provided to highlight the emerging scientific interest in liposomal curcumin. The cited research relates to an intravenous (IV) formulation, whereas our product is available in capsule form.
POTENTIAL ROLE IN HIGH-GRADE GLIOMAS
Radiation-response & DNA-damage pathways
Apoptosis & cell-cycle regulation
Inflammatory & oxidative-stress modulation
Tumor-cell signaling modulation
Potential interaction with radiation & temozolomide
Liposomal delivery may improve curcumin bioavailability & tissue exposure
CURSOMAL USAGE:500 mg once daily as an adjunct to radiation and temozolomide therapy in patients with newly diagnosed high-grade gliomas, under oncologist supervision.
INFLUENCE & POTENTIAL ROLES IN CANCER CARE & SUPPORT
APOPTOSIS INDUCTION
Helps activate programmed cell-death pathways, promoting the removal of abnormal cells.
ANGIOGENESIS INHIBITION / VEGF MODULATION
Reduce VEGF-related signalling involved in the formation of new blood vessels that support tumour growth.
ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTION / NF-κB MODULATION
Modulate NF-κB and other inflammatory pathways associated with tumour-promoting inflammation.
CHEMOSENSITIZATION
Increase the sensitivity of some cancer cells to chemotherapy.
GUT MICROBIOME SUPPORT
Interact with gut microbiota and support microbial balance; clinical significance is under investigation.
